Reflexio
Vilnius, Lithuania

In the 16th century, a defensive castle was built on the mound in Pilaite, a suburb of Vilnius, Lithuania. Over time, the castle has disappeared, and the area is now adorned with towering trees, creating natural environment that has replaced the once prominent man-made structures. Prior to the castle's existence, the summit of the hill was transformed into a rectangular terrace, which now serves as the location and suggests the shape of the mirrored  'Reflexio' platform.

Through pre-programmed lighting sequences, 'Reflexio' unveils the surroundings by gradually shifting tones and colors of light. This dynamic interplay of light enhances the visual experience of the natural setting that now envelops the hill.
