Travers
at Glyptoteket

Installation was made during the interdisciplinary art platform Travers. For one week seventy artists from many different backgrounds in terms of artistic practice were gathering together in Glyptoteket.

The Glyptotek’s superlative collection contains over 10,000 works of art and archaeological objects and offers new perspectives on life, culture and civilization through a time span of 6,000 years.

In this transparent laboratory with mosaic like crossovers, the portraits of the participating artists became a starting point for the installation. In the surroundings of the ancient sculptures, the translucent imprints of contemporary story tellers landed into the coloured  framings.

It is a small interpretation of the Glyptoteket’s winter garden, a space in the museum with the most daylight passing thorough, a place where the ancient sculptures carefully look at us.
